2025 – 2026 Election Cycle: New Mexico Election Alphabet Randomization
In accordance with New Mexico State Law and New Mexico Administrative Code, the NM Secretary of State will be randomly selecting the New Mexico Election Alphabet to be used for candidate ordering on the ballot. 2025 Financial Disclosure Statements – Due January 31, 2025
Ahead of the January 31st deadline to file a 2025 Financial Disclosure Statement, the Secretary of State’s office will host two trainings session that will cover how to create an account and file a report in the CFIS system.

Business Services Division Updates
IMPORTANT BUSINESS SERVICES INFORMATION
- On December 9, 2024 all online business transactions will be available at https://enterprise.sos.nm.gov. Please update your records and bookmarks.
- Beginning 12/2/2024, all received paper filings will be transitioned to our new system and processed on December 9. All online Business, Notary, Apostille and UCC transactions will be unavailable beginning December 5 at 5:00 p.m. and will remain unavailable through December 8, 2024 as we transition systems.
- If you have a prepaid account balance in the current Business Filing System, you will receive a refund to the name and address on file.
Business Services Hours
To provide the best service possible and faster processing for our customers at the Secretary of State’s Office, our walk-in services for Business Services customers will be limited to Mondays through Thursdays. We look forward to serving you and please contact us with any questions.
